It is time, for the members of the Republican party of Juneau County, to start accurately putting our thoughts forward for our state and local communities. It is time to present our issues to the state and federal government, loud and clear, that we are tired of the people that represent us being quiet and accepting the status quo. The evidence is everywhere around us that they are not representing us. They are representing the powers that feed their pockets and feed their special interest. And we should list our grievances by line with these as our priorities.
1. Election integrity
2. Balanced budget spending which is required by families should also be demanded from every level of our government.
3. Demanding that our representatives do not put anything forward to be presented into law, unless they are adequately informing the people they represent to see if they want it to go forward.
4. That we, the people, should present the candidates that we want to represent us and not the party at state national level.
5. Demanding that Geos not be able to contribute to campaigns which was a big mistake made when McCain-Feingold was passed at the federal level.
6. Demand that our legislators pass legislation that truly controls the southern border, which hasn’t been done in decades. Excuses have been made because people are afraid of losing their positions. We need to find people that are not afraid of losing the job for doing their job appropriately.
That is just a few different details that we have to start focusing on. If you have any other concerns as our members, please approach me anytime. I look forward to your thoughts.
Robert Simonds, Republican Party of Juneau County Chair
